Due to continued growth, Dolby Australia is now seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our Emedia Technology team, targeting Emedia/mobile devices.
Responsibilities:
- Providing software infrastructure for different projects, ranging from writing Python scripts to facilitate certain software tasks;
- Setting up and maintaining continuous integration (CI) system, code analysis tools, running and debugging virtual machines;
- Interacting with multiple teams, locally and internationally.
Qualifications:
Key requirements for the successful applicant include:
- B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent professional software development experience and training;
- 2+ years experience in C language programming;
- Strong Python scripting skills;
- CI (Continuous Integration) Framework experience (Electric Commander, Bamboo, Jenkins etc.)
- High level of technical English writing skills;
- Experience with revision control software (e.g. Perforce) and code analysis tools (e.g. Coverity);
- Quick learning and adoption of new knowledge; and
- Thorough and methodical approach.
Highly regarded attributes:
- Experience in setting up and running VM’s with various o/s (Linux, Windows Mac etc.) and the ability to debug them;
- Exposure to audio or video fundamentals/codecs (e.g. Dolby Digital, AAC, H.264 et.);
- Experience with multimedia frameworks;
